Low Wood Hotel – Lake District, UK

Last summer I stayed at Low Wood Bay Hotel for two nights in a luxury Suite.

Location
The Hotel is perfectly located between Windermere and Ambleside. A 15 mins walk to Ambleside. The views were breathtaking. There’s a mini Harbour in front of the hotel, However, a busy road is separating the Hotel from the Harbour and can be hard to cross with all the speeding cars.

Facilities
They have Spa and leisure club but I haven’t used any facilities except for the restaurant Cafe del Lago which was nice.

Room
We were given a room at the back of the hotel. It was outdated but clean. However, there was a very strong smell in the hallway from the carpet.

Service
Service was ok, nothing special. Upon check out I noticed that they charged me twice for an extra bed but when I showed them original reservation, they checked with reservation team and removed the extra charges.

Overall rating
6/10, not a value for money.

Will I stay again?
No.
Simply, because there are many nicer hotels in the area and personally If I go again I will rent a cottage. I have seen amazing cottages but unfortunately due the peak season, they were all booked, so we had to go with Low Wood Hotel as it was the only hotel with availability.

I highly recommend booking a cottage few months in advance.

Short Break At Shangri La Bar Al Jissah Muscat, Oman

I wanted to celebrate my birthday differently this year so I decided to treat myself with a short break to Oman specifically at The Shangri La Bar Al Jissah Resort in Muscat.

حبيت احتفل بيوم ميلادي السنه غير فقررت أهدي روحي سفرة قصيرة لسلطنة عمان وبالتحديد منتجع الشنغريلا بر الجسة في مسقط

 The resort is located approximately an hour away from Muscat International Airport and consist of 3 Hotels, Al Waha Hotel Which’s more Families and Kids Friendly, Al Bandar Hotel a more business luxury hotel which I stayed in and third is Al Husn, the most luxurious of the three and perfect for honeymooners and couples. All three hotels are connected and you can use all the resort facilities and restaurants except for Al Husn Hotel as its most facilities are only for its guests to maintain their privacy.

منتجع الشنغريلا بر الجسة يبعد تقريباً ساعة بالتاكسي عن مطار مسقط الدولي ويتكون من ثلاث فنادق . فندق الواحة والمخصص للعوائل والأطفال وفندق البندر اكثر لرجال الاعمال والعوائل الي بدون أطفال والثالث فندق الحصن المناسب للمتزوجين لان أكثرهم خصوصيه ورفاهيه. انا سكنت في فندق البندر. طبعا كل الفنادق مرتبطين ببعض وممكن تزور كل المرافق والمطاعم تبع اي فندق ماعدا مرافق فندق الحصن فقط للمقيمين فيه.

I opted for Al Bandar Deluxe Room, the room was well-appointed with lovely view.

حجزت غرفة ديلوكس، الغرفة كانت وسيعة ومرتبه وإلاطلالة حلوة.

The resort is huge and has a lot of facilities including a cultural city, stores, spa and a marina. Here are some pictures from the resorts

After returning from Muttrah Souq, I was surprised with a cake! which was super cute!

 On my third day, I went for a Dolphin watching boat trip which’s one of the a variety of activities and water sports that the resort offers. The trip was extremely fun. I highly recommended it.

On the fourth and Last day, I spent it at the Spa and the treatments were amazing

  

Then it was time to say Goodbye to Oman, what a lovely country with the kindest people ever. It was my first visit to Oman but definitely not the last.

The Address Hotel Dubai Marina

I had a short business trip to Dubai and I wanted a hotel in The Dubai Marina Area close to my meetings as you know traffic in Dubai is an issue especially morning time. So the Address Dubai Marina was perfectly located with an amazing view and Attached to a Dubai Marina mall.

Their amazing hospitality and care for details is impressive. From the moment you step into the hotel you can notice the small details. I booked a room with a view in higher floors, the room was spotless and well-appointed. Welcome letter from the manager was sent and Arabic sweets were available in the room. The staff were super attentive and room service food was perfect.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t visit the Attached Mall due to my tight meeting schedule.

I loved it enjoyed my short stay and will highly recommend it.

كان عندي رحلة عمل سريعة لدبي واجتماعاتي كانت قريبه من منطقة مرسى دبي فكنت حابة اسكن جريب علشان اتفادى الزحمة الصباحية واخترت فندق العنوان لموقعه المتميز. الفندق مريح ومتصل بمجمع مرسى دبي. حجزت غرفة مع اطلالة على المرسى، حبيت اهتمامهم بالتفاصيل والضيوف. الفندق حلو وموقعه مميز.

Six Senses Yao Noi ❤

I first came to know about Six Senses Resorts from my friend while we were discussing our 2013 travel plans. Her plan was to spend few days at Evason Ma’In Hot Springs in Jordan which is one of Six Senses Resorts. After that chitchat I started googling Six Senses and found out about all there resorts and Spas. I loved there hospitality concept.

منتجعات الحواس الست عرفت عنها من رفيجتي بالصدفة .. كنا قاعدين نتكلم عن خطط سفراتنا لسنة ٢٠١٣ وخبرتني انها تفكر تروح منتجع ايفاسون في الآردن وقالت لي انه واحد من سلسلة منتجعات الحواس الست واول ماخلصنا نقاشنا قمت ابحث في قوقل عن الحواس الست وقريت عن كل منتجعاتهم وجفت صورهم وتقييم  المسافرين لهم والوحيد الي لفت انتباهي منهم كان منتجعهم الي في تايلند وبالتحديد في جزيرة كويانوي  موقعه مميز على هضبه يتكون من عدة فلل وكل فيلا لها بركه خاصه والي عجبني اكثر اهتماهم بالبيئه المحيطه بالمنتجع ومحافظتهم عليها، كنت مخططة اروح في ٢٠١٣ بس مالله كتب والحمدلله سنة ٢٠١٤ قررت اروح تايلند والوجهه الاساسية كانت . منتجع الحواس الست يانوي.

 جزيرة كويانوي تبعد عن بوكيت ٤٥ دقيقة بالقارب السريع وفي خيار ثاني للوصول للجزيرة بالهليوكبتر وطبعا المنتجع يرتب لكم المواصلات ويستقبلونكم في المارينا في بوكيت، في منتجعات وفنادق ثانية على الجزيرة بس طبعا مافي مقارنه بينهم وبين منتجع الحواس الست. الجزيرة اغلبية سكانها مسلمين وصراحة مامداني اتجول فيها لان النشاطات وايد في المنتجع. بس حسب علمي مافيها نشاطات الجزيرة  تستاهل ان الواحد يطلع من المنتجع

From all their resorts I fell in love with Six Senses Yoa Noi and added it to my bucket list, the scenery was breathtaking. I started planning and unfortunately couldn’t make it in 2013 due to other travel plans.

2014 was the year ❤️, I decided to go to Thailand and Six Senses Yao Noi was the main destination. Made all the bookings and Six Senses Yoa Noi reservations team were very attentive and provided all the information I requested and arranged for the pickup from our Phuket hotel. Koh Yao Noi is 45 mins away from Phuket by speed boat. The boat trip was amazing ❤️.

We were welcomed by the PR Manager and Our GEM (General Experience Manager who take care of you during your stay) Khun Kate who was extremely nice and very helpful took us to our Villa by a golf cart.

استقبلنا مدير العلاقات العامه والموظفة المخصصة للاهتمام بنا فترة اقامتنا وطبعا كل فيلا لها موظف  بمخصص للاهتمام بمقيمين بها .. طبعا عقب الاستقبال خذتنا للفيلا وعطتنا جوله فيها

We booked a Two Bedrooms Hideaway Villa but were veryyyy surprised when we were upgraded to Two Bedrooms Ocean View Villa (Villa 23). The View was incredible 😍. The villa was specious, very clean and well-appointed.

في نوعين فلل هايداواي يكون موقعهم في نص الغابة والنوع الثاني فلل مع اطلالة على المحيط . وفي فلل بغرفة نوم وحدة وفي بغرفتين وفي بأربع غرف. وبما ان كنا 5 اشخاص فحجزنا فيلا بغرفتين نوم هايداوي ولكن فاجؤونا بفيلا مع اطلالة  على المحيط وسبحان الله من كثر ما المنظر روعه ماكنا نبي نطلع من الفيلا

After settling in the villa Khun Kate took us on a tour in the resort. There’s a Deli providing all organic food and free snacks and Ice-cream every day, a tour office arranging all kind of tours and activities, sport centre, spa, gym, souvenirs shop and 3 Restaurants if I’m not mistaken. We ate once at The Den and the rest of the meals other than the breakfast we ordered in-villa dining. Food was fresh, organic and yummmy.

عقب ما ارتحنا طلعنا جولة نتعرف فيها على المنتجع مع كايت. المنتجع فيه محل للحلويات والايسكريم ويوفرونه بالمجان لضيوف المنتجع وثلاث مطاعم احنا كنا اغلب الوقت نطلب في الفيلا. المنتجع فيه مكتب رحلات ينظم لكم رحلات ونشاطات مختلفه منها رحلات للجزر القريبة؛ بالاضافه الى محل للهدايا وسبا وجيم ومركز نشاطات رياضيه منها يعلمونكم فنون القتال التايلنديه والتجديف وغيرها وايد. الاكل في المنتجع حلال وكلشي عضوي ومزروع في المنتجع.

Out stay was memorable we loved it, very comfortable with lots to do. Our only regret that we couldn’t stay longer.

عقب ما انتهينا من اجراءات الخروج وكنا بعدها بنروح بانكوك فوصلونا الفندق المطار وخلصوا الاجراءات مع شركة الطيران ووصلونا الى الصالة المغادرة، كانت لفته حلوه منهم

اقامتنا كانت جدا ممتعه وصراحة فاقت توقعاتنا، الخدمه واهتمامهم بالضيوف جدا مميزه وملفته. المنتجع هادي ويتيمز بالخصوصية ،  بس ملاحظه مهمه المنتجع في وسط غابة استوائية يعني انواع الحيوانات والحشرات الغريبة العجيبة ممكن تجوفونها في المنتجع وفي محيط الفيلا بس والله المكان مايتفوت يعني صج انا حدي اخاف من السحالي ووايد كنت احاتي بس تعودت عليهم الصراحه وخف الخوف لان بالنهاية الواحد في السفر حلو يعيش تجارب جديدة ويجوف اماكن مختلفه
