Hong Kong

So my brother is going to Hong Kong in February and he asked me to plan his trip. So I thought I will post the itinerary with some useful information here as well. I haven’t visited Hong Kong yet, But these information are from different trusted sources and many friends who visited Hong Kong.

• When to visit Hong Kong? 

October, November and December are the best months to visit. Weather is nice and temperature is moderate. While you can also visit in January and February as the weather is cloudy and cold but dry, however, keep in mind that’s due to the Chinese New Year hotels rate will be on the high side during this period. On the other hand, Summer is to be avoided as temperature is too high to be bearable and humid. Many of my friends went in Summer and they couldn’t enjoy it due to the humidity, high temperature and constant shower.

 

متى افضل وقت لزيارة هونج كونج؟

من اكتوبر الى ديسمبر احسن وقت لان الجو يكون معتدل وحلو ولكن ممكن تزورونها في شهر يناير وفبراير وحتى بداية مارس الجو بيكون بارد بس مافي مطر وايد مثل الصيف. بس حطوا بالكم شهر يناير او فبراير عادتا تكون فترة اجازة السنه الصينية الجديدة فاسعار الفنادق تزيد. طبعا الصيف مانصحكم ابدا لان حر وايييد ورطوبة خيالية، وايد اعرف ناس راحوا بالصيف وماقدروا يستانسون لان الجو كان مايساعد وكل شوي تمطر

 

 

 

 

• How many days? 

5 to 7 Days are more than enough for Hong Kong alone with one day trip to Macau.

من ٥ الى ٧ ايام كفاية مع تخصيص يوم لزيارة مكاو اذا حابين

• Where to stay? 

Hong Kong consists of three main territories: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula, and the New Territories. You can easily move between these three territories. Most tourists stay at Kowloon especially in Tsim Sha Tsui. While other prefer to stay in Causeway Bay or Central in Hong Kong Island, So it’s a personal preference. Personally, I prefer staying at Kowloon.

السكن

طبعا هونج كونج تتكون من ثلاث مناطق رئيسية، كولون وجزيرة هونج كونج والمناطق الجديدة. وهونج كونج بشكل عام صغيره وسهل التنقل فيها ووسائل المواصلات متوفرة يعني مابتتعطلون. بس اغلبية السياح يسكنون اما في كولون او اما في منطقة  كازواي باي او  منطقة سنترال في جزيرة هونج كونج. انا شخصيا افضل السكن في كولون لان جريبه من اغلبية الاماكن السياحية وفيها فنادق حلوة تطل على الميناء. بس طبعا منطقة السكن تكون خيار شخصي بالاول والاخير

• How to get around? 

1. Taxis: 

“Taxis in Hong Kong are colour-coded according to their operating areas. Separate rows are designated for different types of taxi:

* Urban taxis (Red) serve all destinations throughout Hong Kong including the airport except Tung Chung Road and roads in south Lantau.

* New Territories (N.T.) taxis (Green) serve only the New Territories and specific roads in Lantau.

* Lantau taxis (Blue) serve all destinations in Lantau and the airport.”

2. Buses. 

3. MTR (Metro) Which in my opinion the easiest way to get around in Hong Kong. They have Mobile apps which you can download and you may get the octopus card to save money.

4. Tram.

وسائل التنقل

وسائل التنقل وايد والتكاسي متوافرة بكثره وكل لون متخصص بمنطقه معينه بس اسعارها مرتفعه وفي نظري خصوصا اذا مو وياكم يهال المترو اسهل واوفر طريقه للتنقل. في بعض الفنادق توفر باصات مجانا تنقلكم الى الاماكن السياحية المعروفه. فسآلوا الفندق

  • Sky 100 (Kowloon, 100th/fl of the ICC building)rAqua Luna (traditional “junk” harbour cruise)
  • Museum of History / Science Museum / Space Museum
  • 1881 Heritage
  • Kowloon Park
  • Ocean Park
  • Hong Kong Wetland Park
  • Disneyland
  • Temple Street Night Market
  • HopOn HopOff tour Bus is a good option to explore Hong Kong if you don’t have much time.
