Where next?
So, I’m working on my 2015 travel plans, I know some of you might think it’s too early, but I like to plan ahead so I can manage my annual leave and have a rough idea how much it will cost me to manage my travel budget.
So far, I have decided to visit 3 new destinations in 2015. I’m considering Belgium and Luxembourg in May for 10 days. Egypt is also on 2015 list as I was planning to visit it in Dec 2014 but due to work commitment had to postpone it. Third destination is the dilemma, it’s either India (Kerla or Goa) or Turkey? What do you think any recommendations?
What about you? How do you usually plan your travels? Well Ahead or just before the trip?
The Charming York
A jewel in North Yorkshire that no one should miss. I visited it for a day trip from Manchester. It’s approximately an hour and fifteen minutes train trip.

It’s a walking friendly city, so wear your most comfortable shoes and start exploring. Once you leave the train station, you will see the city medieval wall in front of you. If you are short on time, there’s a Hop on Hop Off Tour Bus stop just outside the station, which can take you all around the city and stops at the main attractions. You can hop off in any stop to explore the area and hop on the next bus. It’s so convenient especially if you are visiting for a day trip as you can see a lot in a short time and avoid getting lost.
يورك من المدن الصغيرة الي ممكن تستكشفها بالمشي، اول ماتطلعون من محطة القطار بتجوفون حائط المدينه جدامكم وتقدرون تتبعونه وتدخلون الشوارع الداخلية وتستكشفون جمال المدينة. اذا حابين طريقة اسرع للتنقل في يورك ممكن تاخذون الباص السياحي وتحصلونة عند محطة القطار بتجوفون شخص يمثل الشركة تقدرون تشترون التذاكر منه، والباص ياخذكم جولة كاملة ويمر على كل الاماكن السياحية المعروفة ويعطيكم معلومات عنها. الباص يمر بمحطات وايد وتقدرون تنزلون في اي محطة وتستكشفونها وترجعون تركبون الباص الي عقبه وتكملون الجولة
York has a lot to offer, but unfortunately due to time limitation, couldn’t visit all the attractions, so here are the places I visited and other were on my list but couldn’t do them due to time.
في وايد اماكن ممكن تزورونها في يورك بس مع الاسف لمحدودية الوقت ماقدرت ازورها كلها. بذكر لكم اول شي الاماكن الي زرتها والاماكن الي كنت مخططة ازورها وماصار مجال
- Little Shambles
“The Little Shambles or as it well-known as The Shamble is an old street with overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back as far as the fourteenth century.The Shambles was a street of butchers’ shops and houses. The meat was hung up outside the shops and laid out for sale on what are now the shop window-bottoms.”
يعود تاريخه للقرون الوسطى وكان مشهور بمحلات بيع اللحوم، اللحوم كانت تعلق خارج المحلات على النوافذ
Now there aren’t any butchers’ shops, however, there are some delicious chocolate shops.
حالياً لم يعد هناك اي محل لبيع اللحوم، لكن تحصلون محلات بيع شكولاته اللذيذة وهدايا. لا تفوتكم الشوكولاته
- Clifford’s Tower
This tower is all that remains of York Castle, which was originally built by William the Conqueror.
البرج هو اخر ما تبقى من قلعة يورك وقام ببنائه ويليام الاول المعروف بويليام الفاتح وهو اول ملك لانجلترا من النورمان المنحدر اصولهم من الفايكنغ. ما مداني اركب فوق للبرج بس مريت عنده
- Jorvik Viking Centre
A museum that takes you back to the old Viking city. A recreation that brings Viking city to life.

- St. Helen’s Square
- Bettys Tea Room
One of the famous Tea Rooms in UK and it was one of the reasons for my visit to York. Queue is really long, we waited for 30-40 minutes just to get a table but it’s really worth the wait. Their cakes are extremely delicious. Highly recommended.
Please note that there are two Bettys in York, I went to the one in Helen’s Square.
من أشهر غرف الشاي في بريطانيا وكانت أحد اسباب زيارتي ليورك، صج الانتظار طويل علشان تحصلون طاولة يعني تقريبا انتظرت اكثر من نص ساعة بس صراحة يستاهل الانتظار. الأكل لذيذ والجيز كيك. مايتفوت، انصحكم فيه. بس حطوا بالكم في فرعين في يورك، والي زرته في سانت هيلنز سكوير
